Benjamin Josef Phelps, DO

Benjamin Josef Phelps, DO is a critical care physician with clinical interests in complex hemodynamics, point of care ultrasound, and advanced ventilator techniques. Originally from Lynchburg, Virginia, Dr. Phelps completed a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biomedical Science at University of Lynchburg with focus in molecular mechanisms of traumatic brain injury. He attended medical school at Midwestern University- Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 2016. He completed a Traditional Internship in Las Cruces, New Mexico followed by Internal Medicine Residency in Miami, Florida. Dr. Phelps was the first graduate of the Critical Care Fellowship Program at Prisma Health - University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, South Carolina, and completed training in 2022.
